I have a vanilla Windows 10 recent install that also doesn’t work. And please suggestions to reinstall Windows will not be entertained.

It’s not just my machine … but 3 of them that are all at the latest windows version 1909.

What do you do when Windows just doesn’t recognize when a device is connected? There are no triangles to troubleshoot, to reinstall the device drivers. The googled searches say to look for the triangle warning in device manager but my problem is … windows doesn’t detect the plug in of the usb for this device at all. The first because the issue is not limited to my primary pc but all the pcs in my house. The later because my wife will kill me if she losing her stuff on it. I have not tried removing the root hubs or formatting the device.
